Laurie Lynne's Handcrafted Clay Jewelry & gifts!

MODERN CLAY with a vintage twist

Handcrafted clay millefiori designs created by hand then inlaid, fired and then glued into vintage cabochons and settings from various defunct manufacturers. These gift and jewelry making facilities of the mid century are currently apartments or demolished into other retail buildings etc. I have visited many decrepit buildings and defunct factories. Currently, I find locations where the contents of these sites are combined to sort through. My resources since 1992 are New York, Providence RI, California, Tennessee, France (have yet to visit there however), Connecticut and hopefully my journey brings me to new locations! My clay work is durable, does not fade and is removed after firing to then reset with adhesive and glazed. Sometimes I find 5 pieces or 500 pieces, know that each piece you wear is limited, unique and vintage with modern clay. When purchasing, chains, cord or cables are included, you may choose what you prefer. Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you at a farmers market, pop up or art show! Sincerely, Laurie Lynne Zlotowski

Laurie Lynne's Modern Clay with a Vintage Twist

Welcome to Laurie Lynne's Jewelry. Working in clay is my favorite past time. I've been making jewelry professionally since I was 17 years old. I studied in Art Education, business and journalism. I've received certifications in other interests as well. For example in Reiki for all the good vibrations I send out into my creations. Veterinarian certificate because I love canines and animals. Becoming a potter was a great time in my life but falling in love with the versatility of polymer clay is an undying relationship. Collecting vintage beads is also a passion of mine. I've had the honor of going into my first defunct jewelry factory with my editor at the time.....to an old New Rochelle, New York jewelry factory...where I purchased vintage (but new) supplies in bulk in the 90's. Little did I know it would create a new fun addiction to curate and find more vintage supplies in the future! I came across cabochon settings for lapidary use but didn't utilize them right away. An accidental raw clay bead inlay has me creating this beautiful and unique combination for many years now! I hope you enjoy your quality pieces and will visit me at a show or look over my table of designs when I'm teaching a workshop. You can also find me teaching all types of crafts including jewelry making at Libraries, Parties, Workshops & craft nights out! Sincerely, Laurie Lynne
