Laurie Lynne’s Creative Kids Parties! Information & Themes/Projects 203-676-3659 Below you will find details about our party projects.   We work with boys and girls ages 4 and up!  Each project is geared toward the age of the group, so everyone (even teenagers) will enjoy themselves, gain art experience & have a great memory of your special day or workshop!  We travel to you & bring everything needed, just have an area ready for us to set up!  Please feel free to ask any questions!   ·        When booking 30 days or more in advance, you will receive custom-designed invitations with envelopes for your guest list! ·        Party teacher arrives approximately 20 minutes ahead of start time to set up, please also allow for clean up and pack up time. ·        Some parties require an assistant.  These charges are applied by percentage (15-20% of party total).  Assistant requirements may be because your party: is large in attendance, consists of younger ages or has time constraints, please let us know as early as possible to reserve one of our experienced assistants.   ·        Locations beyond 30 miles from central Connecticut will have a travel charge, usually 40 cents per mile each way. (Yes, we go to Westchester County, Mass. & RI) ·        Typically, parties are held on the weekends however some weekday evenings are available depending on your location. ·        Party Time Slot Examples:  (this all depends on party activity length, travel, set up time & availability-please call!)           T   h   e   m   e   s : ALL PARTIES INCLUDE:  USAGE OF WORK TOOLS, INSTRUCTION TIME, ALL SUPPLIES NEEDED, TAKE HOME KITS & MORE! Tie Dye Party: Tie Dye your own T-Shirt and a pair of socks!  Learn how to use professional dye! We will learn how to create designs by tying fabric, setting the fabric with soda ash and using an array of colors to dye with.   Professional dye (squirt bottles), elastics, gloves, plastic bags, work-shirts (smocks) are supplied and instruction time is all included!   We even bring a tent if needed! The birthday child will also receive a special gift from Laurie Lynne. You only need to supply a water hose and outdoor area. This party activity lasts approximately 1½-hours (add more time for increased party size)   It’s recommended to wear play clothes.   Boys & Girls Ages 5 and up! Bead Stringing Party a.k.a “The Traveling Bead Store Party!”: Our most popular party! Beads, Beads, Beads!  We will make a beautiful necklace out of a table full of beads from around the world! Like Czech glass, Austrian crystal, semi-precious stones, clay and more!   We will use the most professional supplies including clasps and nylon coated wire.  We will design our own unique pattern around a focal bead of your choice, then string to together.    All supplies, gift box, gift bag, instruction time & cleanup included! The birthday child also receives a special gift from Laurie Lynne. This party lasts about 1 ½ -2 hours (more time for larger attendance).   Ages 7 and up  (work area is all you need to supply!) Candle Globe Party: Make millefiore designs in polymer clay! We will learn how to create those secret designs in polymer clay and how to use them to make Everlasting clay candle holders that glow with creativity.   The birthday child also receives a special gift from Laurie Lynne. Includes 4-6 colors of clay, two glass globes, tea light candles, Instructions and a cool party bag.   (note: a knife will be used to make this project) This party activity lasts about 2-2 ½ hours long.  Ages 8 and up yet really great for 9-18! CLaY-ART Party We will learn how to create our own beads and charms with colored clay!   We will then bake the creations in the oven (which is a perfect time to have cake and/or open presents).   We then gather to string/put the final touches on our creations, when cooled. Two items are created. Key chains, necklaces, anklets, bracelets, barrettes, pendants or magnets can be made with the clay art theme. This party includes a teacher, instruction sheet, take home kits including: string, accent beads, plastic clay cutter, 3-4 colors of bake-able clay, and party bags. 2 to 2 ½ hours including cake & present time.  This party is customized for the age group.
